INFRASTRUCTURE

Water

La Aldea enjoys the privilege of having an ample supply of fresh, continuously flowing water across the entire property. Our primary water source is the well situated at the highest point of the property, and we have plans to drill another well at a later date to further enhance our water supply.

Additionally, at the lower end of the property, we are blessed with a natural water spring that feeds into three interconnected creek systems, both above and below ground.

We are actively progressing with our water management plan, well registration, and permitting to ensure the efficient and responsible utilization of this valuable resource.

Power

La Aldea will remain connected to the grid, receiving its electricity from Costa Rica's established electrical supply network. We take great pride in residing in a nation that has made renewable energy a top priority, with a staggering 98.5% of our electricity being sourced from environmentally friendly means.

Costa Rica's energy portfolio is diversified among five clean energy sources:

  • Hydroelectric power (74%)

  • Geothermal energy (11.92%)

  • Wind power (11.08%)

  • Biomass energy (0.73%)

  • Solar energy (0.03%)

For residents who may prefer an off-grid lifestyle and wish to install solar panels on their properties, we can provide recommendations for Solar Companies in Costa Rica.

Recycling, Composting & Trash

We are implementing a centralized waste management system encompassing disposal, recycling, and community composting, all of which will undergo regular removal from the community. Collection receptacles will be strategically placed in the community for your convenience.

Waste Treatment

Homeowners will receive La Aldea's recommended waste treatment system, as we are currently evaluating the most suitable options for the entire property.

Internet

We will be implementing high-speed fiber optic internet infrastructure throughout the community, providing seamless connectivity for all residents.
